This
fortified town, is born on the sea, and takes his name
from the deposits of Poseidonia, erroneously called algae, that
form on the sandy shores.
Alghero’s old town, laid towards the sea, presents characteristic
architecture and
Evocative spaces, that make it a real jewel in the island.
“Barcellonetta” (little Barcelona) this Is how the local
affectionately call Alghero. Its sea, its people and its history,
have made it since the Eighth Century the first capital of tourism,
and still nowadays it represents the city with the greatest tradition
of hospitality and high tourist potential.
The coasts that surround the city extends for 80 Km, in a shoreline
that alternates in a diverse picture, made of rocky lines and fine
